Chapter II
"Luna, Luna! I need to talk
to you, in private."
"What is it Ami?" Luna asked.
"Well, I have a question, maybe more of a favor, oh I
dunno. Here's the thing, Greg knows who all the scouts
are, because of his psychic powers."
"But I thought they were all erased after the rainbow
crystal was removed."
"I thought so too, but it seems as that was only an
effect of the shock, he still has psychic powers, so
he still knows who we all are. So, anyway, I was
thinking, wouldn't he be a valuable asset to our
group. I mean, if he can predict battles it would take
away some strain from Rei. I mean, he wouldn't be able
to fight, but maybe he could help you and Artemis.
Please?"
"Well Ami, that's quite a request. The problem is,
how do we know we can trust Greg?"
"I already considered that. I think I can write a
program for my mercury computer that could test to see
if he's loyal."
"But what if he is not, then he'd know who everyone
was, even the outer scouts."
"I thought about that too, I have been working on a
program that can erase people's memories, and I think
it works. Oh please Luna, I know he wants to help.
It's torture for him to know that something is going
to happen to us, but he can't do anything about it."
"Well, I suppose, if you get that program to work,
and if he is loyal, then sure, I don't see why not."
"Oh thank you, thank you Luna!" Ami said as she
scooped the cat into a hug.
On the other side of town
"What do you want from me? What are you?"
"Oh, just a little rock you have, that I need."
"Rock? But this is the chemistry lab; the geo lab is
down the hall. I don't have any rocks."
"Oh trust me, this, you do!"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, what's happening, I
feel so faint, who am I, where did I come from, what's
this?"
Somewhere else
"On the news this afternoon, today the world renown
chemist Dr. Labyoti (authors note, he.he, I'll work on
the names) was found in his laboratory in what seemed
to be a comma. When his colleagues finally woke him up
he could not talk or walk and he was only making
baby-like gurgling sounds. The paramedics believe it
was because of a chemical reaction gone terribly
wrong, more news."
~click~
"I don't like the sounds of this guys. Chemical
reactions do not just go wrong."
"I believe you're right Setsuna, but what could it
be?"
"Maybe we should ask Hotaru." Michiru suggested.
"But she's down for her nap," Setsuna protested.
"If this is what I think it is, we need her help."
Haruka said firmly. The three walked into Hotaru's
room and Setsuna lightly shook her to get her to wake
up.
"Setsuna-moma, Michiru-moma, Haruka-papa, what is
it?"
"Hotaru, I believe we have another enemy, do you know
anything about it."
"I don't know for sure, but I have felt restless
recently, it maybe," Hotaru replied.
"Then we need to get back to the rest of the scouts,
let's go home." Haruka said.
The next hour or so was spent in a flurry trying to
pack up as fast as possible. Then they were in the car
and Michiru was driving as fast as she could to get
home. You may ask why Haruka did not drive, but you
see, there's a thing called the speed limit.
Back to the scouts
"Hey Greg, I need to talk to you!" Ami called.
"What?" Greg asked as he turned around.
"You know that test I made you take the other day,
well the results came back."
"Wait, hold up Ami, I don't even know why I took the
test to begin with."
"I know I know, I'm going to explain things. Look,
you told me you still have your psychic powers, so
that means you know who all the scouts are."
"Yeah, of course."
"So, I talked to Luna and we decided that you would
be a valuable asset to our team. I want to know if you
would like to work with the Sailor scouts. Now, you
couldn't battle or anything, because you're too week,
sorry, but it's true. But you could help Luna and
Artemis investigate the enemy and find it's weakness.
So, what do you say?" Ami was breathless by the time
she finished talking because she had been going so
fast. Greg moved his mouth but no words came out. "Oh
yeah, Greg, if you do not want to, you do not have to,
I'm not forcing you. In fact, if you decide against
it, I can erase your memory of all of us. But please."
"OF COURSE!" he had apparently gotten his voice back,
"I mean, of course I would, I'd love to. I'd always
hoped you'd ask. All right! But, how does that test
come into play?"
"Actually it was a test to see if you were loyal to
the scouts, we can't take any risks you know."
"Oh, so you don't trust me do you?" Greg said
playfully, "well, maybe we shouldn't date then, since
I'm such a threat."
"Oh Greg," Ami said, surpresing giggles, "I'm so
happy
you're gonna be a part of this," she gave him a peck
on the cheek and then said, "Let's go tell the
others!" They slowly walked hand in hand out of sight.
Author- Ok, that's the end of that chapter. I know
it's short, but I did not have much time. Um, I was
rereading it today and I'm sorry that the writing is
not really good, I know I have bad grammar. But the
idea's there, so, sorry. Please keep reading.
