Chapter III

Ami and Autumn walked over to the group of people
already gathered under a big old oak tree. "Hi
everyone, this is Autumn!" Ami said.
Autumn lowered her head shyly, "hi everyone," she
said, barely above a whisper.
"Oh, it's that girl, the rude one," Lita said.
"Lita, hush, be polite, you know I already explained
that she was having a bad day yesterday, don't jump to
conclusions." Ami scolded.
"That's ok, I'll just eat some where else, bye Ami,"
Autumn said, as she slowly began to walk away.
"Wait just a second there missy," Mina called, "you
haven't eaten lunch yet, come here, sit down and eat."
She then proceeded to burst into laughter. A little
sweat drop formed on everyone else's heads. (author's
note: What, you didn't know those were real? )
"Ok," Autumn said, as she walked back over. "Oh, and
Serena, that is your name right, I'm really sorry
about yesterday, I just had a bad day, as Ami said,
and I wasn't thinking. Shake?" Autumn held out her
hand and Serena took it willingly.
"Don't worry," she said, "it's completely
understandable! So, what do you have for lunch? Wanna
trade, I have a broccoli-tuna fish-spaghetti sandwich?
I know what you're thinking, no I did not make it
myself, my mom got really tired of all our leftovers,
and we've been eating like this for a week now, ick!"
"Haha, I think I'll pass on the trade, but you can
have some of my pretzels if you want, to cover up the
taste!"

later

Autumn walked down the hall with her nose in a
newspaper. "Oh my goodness," she thought, "there are
actually super heroes here, or heroines, why hadn't I
heard of this? Let's see, Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury,
Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto,
Chibi Moon, Chibi Chibi Moon, Star Fighter, Star
Maker, Star Healer, and Tuxedo Mask? Good Grief,
there's a lot of them. Oh and here it says something
about Galaxia? Sheesh. Wow, Ami kinda looks like
Sailor Mercury, hmmm." Autumn was jarred from her
thought when she suddenly crashed into someone and
found herself on the ground. "Oh my goodness, I'm soo
sorry!" she said. Looking up she saw the most handsome
face she had seen in this whole school. "Wow," she
thought, "and now he's gonna think I'm a total klutz.
Do something Autumn, do something. I know, help him
with his books, good idea. Ok, move your arms Autumn."
If you can't tell she was a tiny bit awestruck. "Oh,
I'm really, really sorry," she finally spat out. She
helped him with his books and picked up a folder. The
folder had fallen open on the ground and inside were
some poems. She glanced at one and was amazed that
someone her age had written it, and a boy no less.
(authors note: no you don't get to see the poem, what
makes you think I can write poetry?) "Wow, this is
really good!" she said.
"Oh, it's nothing really, just something I did in my
free time," the boy said, snatching the folder back
and putting it in his bag.
"Hi, I'm Autumn, what's your name?"
"My name? Oh, John, my name's John. Um, you're in my
history class aren't you? I mean government."
"Uh, I dunno, I was so confused last class I did not
really notice anyone who was there."
"You're confused? But right now everything's basic."
"Well, to you maybe, but I'm from America. I just
finished struggling though US government and politics,
and here I am, in Japan, forced to take government on
a completely new country I don't even know anything
about."
"Oh, sorry."
"Don't worry, you didn't know."
"Well, I'm pretty good in that class, so if you need
any help, I'm sure I could be of service."
"Gee, thanks, I'd love to."
"Cool, well, I gotta go, I'll see you later, bye!"
John called.
"I can't believe he actually talked to me!" Autumn
thought as she leaned against a locker. "He must be
the most popular guy in school."

Later

"Most popular guy in school?! No way! He hardly ever
talks and has very few friends!" Lita laughed.
"But he's sooo cute!" Autumn protested.
"Well, yeah, he kinda looks like my old boyfriend.
But he's not popular. I'm surprised he even talked to
you, he's so shy."
"He is cute though," Mina piped in.
"Not as cute as Darien though!" Serena yelled.
"You mean you guys are going out now?!" Greg
stuttered, "man, I missed a lot in France!"
"They've been going out for a while." Ami replied.
"Wait a second here, who's Darien?" Autumn asked.
"He's my boyfriend, but he's in America right now."
Serena's face suddenly fell.
"Don't worry Serena, he'll be back soon, a few days
right?" Mina asked.
"You're right, he'll be back on Monday!! Woohoo! And
we don't have school then!"
"I guess I'll just have to meet him then!"

"Kayono, you got the gray stone from that professor,
but that's not enough. We need more. If we are to
split the stones between everyone here in Tauno
(authors note: pronounced Tah - uu - no) we need many,
many more. Do you have the next target.?"
"Yes my queen, an artist by the name of Chris Tsuk who
paints with more precision than anyone else in the
world."
"Good, go to it, and be sure no one sees you."
"Of course my queen." Kayono slipped out of the room.

"Why don't you play? You ruined our game of tag! You
always do that!"
"Can't you be normal?"
"Get away from this park, this park is only for
normal people Hotaru!"
"No! You can't make me leave, I have every right to
be here!" Hotaru screamed.
"Get her!" The leader of the group of boys yelled and
they all ran at her and started punching and kicking.

Autumn was walking along the path enjoying the fall
colors when she heard a huge commotion. She looked
over and saw a bunch of boys all in a circle yelling
and screaming. "I know that sound, there's a fight
over there!" Autumn ran over and in no time had caught
up with the boys. "Hold on here! What's going on?
Break it up break it up!" She finally got through the
mass of elementary school boys and found a poor girl
in the center. She had dark, almost purple, hair and
she had a school uniform on. "Are you ok?" Autumn
asked.
"I will be, I'm used to it by now." The girl replied.
Autumn walked over to where the group of boys had
convened. "What do you think you were doing?!" She
asked. "Picking on one girl, all of you boys?! What
possessed you to do that may I ask?"
"She wouldn't play tag. She got tagged 'it' and she
refused to play. She ruined the game."
"If I were your mom I'd spank you!" Autumn said, "she
doesn't have to play your game if she doesn't want to.
You could have just as easily continued playing with
each other, it's not as if you did not have enough
people to play. Now if I ever see you beating up a
girl, any girl, for no reason again you will answer to
me! And I assure you, I am much stronger than you. Now
get going or I'll tell your parents!" The boys all ran
off and Autumn walked back over to the girl who was
still sitting on the ground. "It's ok," she said,
"they all left. And I don't think they'll be picking
on you again. Hi! My name's Autumn, what's yours?"
"My name is Hotaru," she said shyly, "thank you for
helping me, they always make fun of me because I don't
have any friends my own age."
"None?"
"Well, I have one, but she is very far away, and I
can't talk to her at all."
"Well, you can be my friend, because I just moved
here. And I don't care that I'm older, that just makes
you even more cool because you hang out with a high
schooler!"
"Oh, I already have a lot of high school friends! But
you can be my friend too!"
"Great, you want to go swing?" Autumn asked. Hotaru
nodded and they walked over to the swing set. "Who are
your other high school friends?"
"Well, there's Haruka, Michiru, Ami, Serena, Lita,
Mina, and Rei!"
"Hey, I know them, except for Haruka and Michiru, I
ate lunch with them today! Speaking of which, I'm
going over to Rei's temple right now, would you like
to join me? If you're friends with them, I'm sure they
won't mind!"
"Yeah! Let's go!"

"Hmmm, what's this, a pile of sand, I wonder how that
got here?" Chris Tsuk went to get a broom but when he
came back the pile of sand was no longer there. "Huh?"
He thought, "I could have sworn I was alone." "Hello?
Any one here?" he called.
"Only me!"
"What, where did you come from?"
"That doesn't matter, I need something of yours."
"What?" Chris asked warily.
"Your gray stone! Wahahaha"
"What, what are you? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He screamed
as he fell to the ground in a heap.

Authors note: There you go, the end of chapter III. I
know, I know, it's moving along really slowly, but
it'll get better, I hope. Please stick with me. Oh,
and email me to tell me what you think. Thanks!
